First stop was Seattle and here I found:
Truck -$1.29 (great for one of my grandsons)
Keep in mind when I shop: I shop for myself, my classroom, my grandkids (granddaughter who is 7 and twin grandsons who are almost 2), gifts and projects.
Elmo toy -$3.99, white wood tray -$1.99 and plastic box w/ lid - $1.00 reg. $1.99
(both the tray and the box with lid will eventually hold socks for my granddaughter, it's nice to be organized)
Plastic Jello mold $1.99 (want to try jello on a stick), dart game $1.29 (party gift),
2 sets of sporks $1.99 (emergency kit), glow sticks $1.99 (party gift),
can opener $1.00 reg $1.99 (emergency kit)
2 boxes spoons $.99 (party utensils), spatula $.99 (can't have too many of these since our Lab likes to eat them) and a toy car $1.29 (grandson)
With all the earthquakes that have been happening all around the world, I am picking up items to add to my emergency kit for the car and home. Also what a great place and prices are fantastic to pick up items for that emergency kit from the Goodwill.
Smiley nightshirt $3.99 reg. $4.99 and pink striped nightshirt $3.99 both Xmas gifts
Shorts $2.00 reg. $3.99 and brown long sleeved shirt $4.99
Total $ 36.17 saved $ 4.47
Next stop was Renton and guess what I found. Well actually my friend spotted it and I bought it..... Wait for it! Yes a dresser. A well built wooden dresser.
Wooden dresser $29.99
I gave it to my daughter that night and she has great plans on painting it white and doing something with flowers around the handles. Pictures will be coming soon..
Paper hole puncher $2.00 reg. $3.99 (school item), Socks $1.99, Liquid lead $.99
2 foam frames @$1.99 each (party idea), Winnie the pooh photo album $.99 and
2 photo albums $.50 reg.$.99 each (I have a great idea for all the grandkids - I'll tell you later), Ribbon $ 1.99, plastic basket $.99 (sock drawer) and a
Camelbak $1.99 (just missing a straw)
Total $50.05 Save $3.96
Last stop of the day was Tukwila. I am always on the lookout for swimsuits for my granddaughter who takes swimming lessons. The chlorine in the pool is so harsh on swimsuits, so when I find bargains, I am always snatching them up. Then she gets a choice of which one she wants to wear for the day. Also I buy them in larger sizes and save them for later. So this is what I bought:
Swirly swimsuit $2.99, Purple swimsuit $2.00 (too small - will consign it) and Size 14 swimsuit $4.99
2 cups $.99, Sippee cup $1.99 and striped full flannel sheet $3.00 reg. $5.99 (making a sheet for a full tall mattress)
Total $17.60 Saved $4.98
This was a great Sunday. I got some sweet deals that will help my family and myself. Now if I only could find some time to get some of my designated projects done. Somehow things will get done, not always in a timely manner though. But I just need to get off my butt and do it.
