Goodwill over President’s Weekend

Sorry it has taken me this long to put up my great finds from the President’ sale from up north. I came down with the nasty cold that seems to linger forever. My friend and I left early on Monday, President’s Day – February 17, 2014 and headed north. Of course we stopped off at Starbucks for our traditional coffee.  So here it goes: Our first stop was Kent where all apparel was 50% off. I spent $36.52 and saved $21.41. I got:

2 plastic 3 drawer units @ $2.99 each (store art supplies)

 3 hardback books @ $1.29 each 

 2 Boys coat $ 1.99 each reg. $3.99 each (grandkids future use)

Boys coat $1.00 reg. $1.99 and girls coat blue $ 2.50 reg. $4.99 (grandkids)

 Girls coat $1.99 reg. 3.99 and spring dress $2.00 reg. $3.99

Girls vest $ 4.50 reg. $8.99 (grandkid)

2 Christmas dress $2.50 each reg. $4.99 and 

Christmas dress $2.50 reg. $5.99

Next stop was Burien. Of course my friend and I were talking and missed the exit. We debated on going back or continuing onto Seattle. We decided we might turn around, who knows what we could be overlooking. I am glad we did I found some killer deals. Burien Goodwill is in the Seattle group so blue tags were $.99 and green and pink tags were 40% off. I spent $ 29.73 and saved $ 29.00.

Again we headed off to Seattle and got a little lost within the city limits, but we finally got to our destination and parked in a controlled parking lot. We were a little worried how we were going to get out, but I trusted the bar would rise when our car got closer to it. It did. I spent $ 38.72 and saved
$ 42.18.

Even though I spent a bit of money this weekend at the Goodwill,  I got quite a bit Christmas outfits to sell at the consignment shop. I’m also a sucker for anything with Tigger on it. Also I try to buy kids clothes when they are inexpensive for the grandkids. This way I have a variety of sizes and I don’t break the bank by buying at the Goodwill.
