Shopping at the Goodwill on a Holiday

Goodwill on Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday

I found some great Goodwill sales on Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. My friend and I headed north to some new Goodwill’s. We adventured into some unknown territory and got turned around a few times, but the weather was sunny and the roads were dry and busy with travelers headed in all different directions. Our first destination was Lynnwood, somehow we kept reading the directions wrong and we kept missing it (it does help to read the signs correctly). So we ended up going to Edmonds first.

I bought 3 books – for a total of $3.03.

Next step was back to Lynnwood and finally found the Goodwill. It is a large store and there were many people sifting through the wares, especially with the great deals that were happening today.

Here I bought 1 package of girl GoodNites diapers (I know we have boys in diapers – but I could care less, they are night time diapers and no one is going to notice when they are covered up in PJ’s – RIGHT?), 2 treat bags for parties, 1 sticker book and 1 Elmo sandwich box.

Total was $7.51.

Our next stop was Shoreline.  We had a few mishaps in directions again, but we finally made it. This was another large Goodwill.

I bought scrapbooking supplies, 3 Elmo sticker books, 2 One Direction journals, 1 Car treats.

In addition, I bought 7 little plastic baskets, 2 rolls of ribbon, 3 swimming goggles.

Also 1 package of 12 spray bottles.

All together the total was $17.80.

Final destination was Ballard as the sun came to rest in the west.
I bought 2 books and 2 sippee cups.

This total was $2.92.

My friend and I decided that this was an interesting trip with all the mishaps in directions, but weren't all that thrilled with these new stores and our next trip will probably we in the South Sound. So keep tuned for next weeks adventures – I’m driving.
