Lost but Found It: School shopping at the Goodwill and Value Village

I started school shopping the other day for Kenz. She has grown so much over the year, up and around that some of last year's clothes are now in the bin to be sold at the consignment sale happening in October at the Puyallup Fair Grounds. So the other day, Goodwill was having clothes for 50% off and I thought I would swing by and see what they had. I am glad I did, this is what I bought:

1 pink shirt for $2.50 reg. $ 4.99

1 Disney shirt for $2.00 reg. $3.99

1 dragon sweatshirt $3.00 reg. $5.99

1 pair of red jeggings $3.00 reg. $5.99

1 pair of blue jeggings $3.00 reg.$5.99

1 pair of dk blue jeggins $3.00 reg. $5.99

1 light blue sweater $1.50 reg. $2.99

1 raincoat $2.50 reg. $4.99

1 top $3.00 reg. $5.99

1 blue dress $3.00 reg. $5.99

A lot of what I bought at the Goodwill was green tagged and I knew that if I wanted to, I could of waited until Sunday when the green tags were $ 1.29 - but I didn't want to take my chance that these items would be gone.

I spent $27.92 and saved $25.40.

I took advantage of the promotion that is happening at Value Village currently. If you bring in 2 bags of household items, books, clothes, toys, etc. you will receive a coupon for 30% off your whole purchase. Remember certain tags on Monday are $.99 also (30% is not discounted off the special tags - they are already marked down - no double dipping is allowed). Yesterday I decided to take a carload of items to Value Village to receive my 30% coupon and then I did some shopping. I did some back to school shopping as well (remember I am a teacher and I deserve some new clothes).
